On Our Radar: Karma Salman

Born in London and raised in Beirut, Karma Salman passion for  jewellery and accessories was triggered in her school days. Graduated with a Fine Arts degree from the Lebanese American University (LAU), then decided to follow her dream and specialised in Jewellery Design at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) London. 

 

“My main inspirations come from architectural shapes and objects that eventually result in them being worn and not only admired”

 

Soon after, Karma landed her first-ever internship at the well-renowned Lebanese jeweller, Selim Mouzannar in 2011; and three years later, she entered at Nada Zeineh. Late 2014, Karma’s first collection, named Akana, was debuted with the help of the great Lebanese designer Rabih Kayrouz; that’s when her eponymous brand was born.

 

 

Today, the brand KARMA captures inspiration from traditional handcrafted jewellery techniques, translated with a timeless modern twist; full of expression and individuality.
