Think less festival field, more gothic romance. There is still a sense of freedom and femininity, but it now comes with a dash of folklore thrown in.
It feels perfectly suited to fashion’s current fascination with escapism and historical romance.
The key is to avoid making it too pretty.
Pair delicate fabrics with heavier textures, soften romantic dresses with rugged boots and embrace colours such as plum, tobacco, forest green and black.
