Elie Saab’s Spring Summer 2027 ready-to-wear collection explores femininity through a distinctly intimate lens, taking inspiration from Jean Harlow’s effortless allure and the Lebanese maison’s enduring fascination with glamour.

Titled ‘À Fleur de Peau’, the collection centres on the idea of beauty felt close to the skin, balancing sensuality with an undone ease.

The collection is built around fluid silhouettes that follow the body without restricting it. Liquid gowns skim the figure, while trailing linings, lace trims and asymmetric hems introduce an element of imperfection to otherwise polished looks. Slip-on and slip-off layering reinforces the collection’s boudoir influence, with pieces designed to reveal glimpses of skin while retaining a sense of sophistication.

A loose trench is knotted over cascading sheer midi skirts, while embellished bralettes are paired with matching slips and shimmering net skirts and tops. The result is an unapologetically feminine wardrobe that moves between lingerie references and more structured outerwear.

Colour plays an important role in establishing the collection’s heightened sense of sensitivity. Sage green, powder blue and blush create a soft palette, while dramatically draped silk wraps offer a play between concealment and exposure. Embroidered roses climb across lingerie-inspired gowns in black lace and pale pink silk, bringing a romantic botanical motif to the collection.

Corsetry is another recurring element, reworked with delicate details including tiny floral sprigs, off-the-shoulder boleros and slender satin spaghetti straps. Ruffles, bows and ribbons add a playful quality while maintaining the collection’s more mature sensuality.

Accessories continue the cinematic mood. Footwear ranges from sky-high ballerinas to crossover mules, with sleek silhouettes designed to complement the elongated lines of the clothing. Beauty takes an equally romantic direction, with tiny flowers and dewdrops dotted across the face for a whimsical finishing touch.

Completing the collection is a new eyewear line, with gold-plated, monogrammed butterfly frames singled out as its hero style. Their delicate proportions and decorative finish echo the collection’s broader fascination with romance, glamour and femininity.

With its combination of fluid tailoring and soft botanical details, Elie Saab’s Spring Summer 2027 collection presents glamour in a more intimate form. ‘À Fleur de Peau’ turns its attention towards the space between clothing and skin, where sensuality becomes less about overt drama and more about suggestion.
