Tickets for Guggenheim Abu Dhabi are now on sale, ahead of the museum’s scheduled opening on the 11th of December 2026. General admission is priced at AED 70, while visitors under 18, UAE students and those aged 60 and above can enter free of charge. Reduced-price tickets are also available to qualifying visitors.
The new museum will expand Saadiyat Cultural District’s collection of cultural attractions, joining institutions including Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi.
Guggenheim Abu Dhabi will focus on modern and contemporary art, with its collection having been developed since 2009. Rather than following a chronological presentation, exhibitions will explore themes including Abstraction, Popular Culture, Land, Language and Storytelling, bringing together works from different regions and generations.
The building, designed by the late architect Frank Gehry, will comprise 30 galleries arranged around a central atrium. Ten large cones form a key part of the structure, with the tallest reaching 88 metres. Nine are covered in stainless steel mesh, while the remaining cone combines onyx and glass.The museum will contain 11,600 square metres of indoor gallery space and 23,000 square metres of outdoor exhibition areas.
