For SS16, Kate Moss and Polish-born model Daria Werbowy were left to their own devices to shoot and model in the campaign for the French fashion house Equipment, shot in the Caribbean island of Mustique. The result is a series of sultry black and white images which focus on 41-year-old Kate’s raw beauty and see her cuddling up to her 32-year-old catwalk friend – a talented photographer who shot the striking images herself using a timer.

Now there’s the imminent launch of her Kate Moss x Equipment capsule collection for the shirt company, a collaboration with a lookbook photographed by her friend Werbowy, as well as a video featuring ‘90s model Susie Cave shot at Moss’ country house, in England. The line consists of a collection of shirts, trousers, sweaters and slip dresses which embody a rock’n’roll and grunge undertone.

Speaking about the new designs, Moss told Vogue: “I like that girl/boy thing. I’m a tomboy, really; I was always stealing Jamie’s [Hince] Equipment shirts. They’re just easy to wear, to pull on as a cover-up or whatever. The fabric just sits on your skin so nicely. The Equipment people brought the shirts, and I reshaped them a bit and talked about the prints and how the pockets should be. I like having a part in designing something. Clothes are my thing. I like to talk about them, touch the fabric, see what feels right. I wanted the lightning bolt print—very Bowie—and the stars and the anchors.”

Word is there are more to come so we can’t wait to see them. She said to Vogue: “We’ve got a lot more next season. I was looking in a secondhand shop in Brazil and found all these ’70s shirts. It’s going to be really colourful for spring!”
