After most recent labels like Salvatore Ferragamo and Balenciaga that decided to go co-ed, it is now J.W. Anderson turn to ring the alarm of the the mixed-gender show format- to present both men’s and women’s collections together on the same runway.

For this very reason, the Irish designer decided to showcase his FW18 collection during the London Women’s fashion week in February, which is usually scheduled to be after the menswear shows.
The coed fashion shows trend is not that new. During 2017 , a minimum of 13 brands took that same decision, the likes of Gucci, Vetements, Burberry, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Coach 1941, Kenzo, Givenchy, Saint Laurent, Dsquared2, Etro, Vivienne Westwood, and Bottega Veneta.
For Anderson to merge his collections into a single even seems like a very logical one, but let’s wait and see what February will bring upon us.

Why Neck Cream Are Essential Part Of Your Daily Routine
There are two parts of your skin that give way to ageing first – it’s the eyes and the neck.
While many focus on serums and creams to achieve the bright eye look and reduce fine lines, many don’t think to buy a product specifically designed to help elasticity of the skin area around the neck. As the production of collagen declines, and our habit of looking down at the screen to scroll through Instagram increases, you will start to notice sagging, loose skin under the chin and wrinkling.
To battle these signs of ageing, you need to start looking for brands that offer creams that repair and stimulate collagen. Get those massage skills up to scratch to aid in draining excess lymph build up, reduce puffiness and give a lifting effect. Try massaging in small circles towards the area just south of your ears, where the majority of lymphs in that area sit.
Time to reveal the neckline from under the silk Hermès scarf with our edit of the best neck creams above.

Jonathan Saunders Resigns from DVF
Say goodbye to neon lace, Jonathan Saundaers, announced on Friday December 15th that he will be resigning from his role as a chief creative officer of Diana von Furstenberg after only serving for just 18 months.
“I am grateful for Diane’s support and for the opportunity of guiding this iconic brand. I am so proud of everything we have accomplished in the past 18 months. I thank the incredible team for their dedication and support, and will continue to be a friend and admirer of the brand,” Saunders stated.
After shutting down his own London-based label, Saunders joined the DVF house in May 2016, and ever since has made serious changes throughout the brand. From revamping the DVF logo to also moving from traditional runway shows to more quiet fashion presentations. Over time, the ex-chief creative officer ushered in a complete new era into the DVF brand that was filled with bold prints, fresh colours and a whole lot of updates on the brand’s iconic signature pieces.
“I am so thankful for Jonathan’s beautiful work and the effort and dedication he has put into DVF in the last 18 months. He will leave an important and lasting heritage to the brand,” Diane von Furstenberg quoted.
At the time when Saunder’s was hired, von Furstenberg claimed that Saunders’ role helped her as a founder to step back from daily duties that takes up the full schedule of a creative director.
Since November 2016, DVF is left without a cheif executive office, ever since when Paolo Riva exited the company; and that’s when von Furstenberg said her family is going to get more involved in the business.
For the past couple of years, the contemporary fashion brand has been facing difficulties in department store, and rumor has it that the designer is considering in closing some of the her freestanding outles. Everything seems to be linked, so Saunders’s coming steps are unknown and who will be filling the role of the chief creative officer is yet to be announced.

‘Sleepless Hands’ Exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo by Fondation d’entreprise Hermès
The Fondation d’entreprise Hermès presents Les Mains sans sommeil (Sleepless Hands), a group exhibition of works by artists who have taken part of Hermès Residencies programme over the past three years to showcase their work in an extraordinary exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo.
Since 2010, the Fondation d’entreprise Hermès has invited visual artists to join in the annual Residencies programme, helping them to discover and produce new art works using the finest materials (silk, leather, silver, crystal), in collaboration with the workshop artisans. Curated by Gaël Charbau, the pieces produced by the nine artists are joined by other works found in their own portfolio.
“Alongside the works produced in the factories, the exhibition provides the possibility to discover other pieces from the artists’ corpuses, so as to show the context in which they are set, and to explore ‘the workshop gestures’ that produced such works: repetitions, the forcing of chance, inscriptions and ‘activations’ of the artist’s body,” Charbau explains.
Inspired by the name of the exhibition, the freedom throughout the exhibition is clearly seen; the guest artists like Clarissa Baumann was the one who stretched a spoon in order to turn it into a long silver wire. Célia Gondol worked with abstract figures across forty metres of silk, Bianca Argimon deconstructed the shapes and colours of a pattern and DH McNabb inserted a kinetic motif inside a block of crystal. Lucia Bru poured cement into crystal, while Anastasia Douka questions the perception of machines as creatures and Lucie Picandet uses leather to depict the regeneration of the soul. While in a very Hermès fashion, Jennifer Vinegar Avery assembled textile off-cuts into a bestiary.
Alongside the works developed in the factories, the exhibition provides the possibility to explore pieces from the artists’ collections, just to show the context in which they are set, and to discover “the workshop gestures” that produced such works. During the entire length of the exhibition, a full programme of performances created by the artists will also take place in the Palais de Tokyo space.
The exhibition is open to the public from November 24, 2017 until January 7, 2018. For more details about the programme click here.

First Look: Bedouin SS18 Collection
For Spring, Andraya Farrag, founder and creative director of BEDOUIN, looked for inspiration from photographs of model and actress Margaux Hemingway shot in 1978 by American photographer David Hume Kennerly, at her grandfather Ernest Hemingway’s Cuban home, just outside of Havana, Finca Vigia.
Named Lost in Havana, Farrag’s latest SS18 focused deeply on the sense of strong femininity and seeks to captivate the fresh colours, with delicate silhouettes and feminine detailing.
“More than a straight-up Cuban-inspired collection, this season is a reflection of the life that Margaux led while in Havana. Where she might be standing in front of the cameras in this now quite iconic 70s shoot, for all the world to see, the images actually tell a different narrative; of someone who is quite possibly lost, and completely exposed, yet also quietly powerful. That’s what this collection speaks volumes about, a strong feminine woman, who’s not afraid to show vulnerability but can also take on the world,” the designer quotes.
The colour palette displayed cool tones of white, with pink and green hues and hints of orange. As usual, the tailoring is impeccable, and for this season Farrag focused on masculine shapes and cute- including three-piece suits, boxy waist-cropped jackets and slim-leg pants; along with traditional organza shirt and dresses in cotton jacquard.
We also see lots of frills and dresses that are very easy to wear and goes with everything you own. As for the prints, they are inspired by exploration and travel, also some of the prints were also exclusively hand-painted for the regional brand.
Sourcing organic materials is still a very big factor for Andraya, and working with sustainably traced fabrics continues to be a priority every season.
Check out the full BEDOUIN SS18 collection in the gallery above, the collection will be available in stores and online from February 2018.
