Margaret Dabbs is passionate about hands and feet. She is the celebrated podiatrist and foot expert who founded her first foot clinic in London in 1998 in private consulting rooms in the Harley Street area of Central London.
She went on to create the Margaret Dabbs London brand to include foot clinics with nails spas, including the one at Level Shoes in The Dubai Mall, with teams of both qualified podiatrists and professional beauticians to perform her unique treatments. Her latest launch in the region is the Refining Glow Leg Spray that contours the legs while keeping them feeling silky soft with the help of Argan, Abyssinian, Sunflower and Sweet Almond oils.
What’s the first thing you do when you get up in the morning?
The moment I awake I am up and, on the go, I quickly check my emails and messages, and then simultaneously turn on the shower and the kettle. I am a cup of tea and saucer girl and rarely drink coffee.
Three items you can’t live without?
My Foot Hygiene Cream is a must as my feet need to look good all the time. I take my Philip Kingsley hair shampoo, conditioner and elasticizer with me always when I travel, and I am never ever without my lap top – I even managed to take it with me on a Desert Safari Adventure here in Dubai much to my children’s embarrassment.

What do you love the most about your job?
I love the speed in which it moves forward, the variety of it, the excitement of every day being different and the opportunities it brings.
Where do you love to hang out in Dubai?
I love the One & Only Royal Mirage Hotel, this has become home to me when I am in Dubai. Drift on the beach is amazing and relaxing, 101 at The One & Only Palm, and of course Eau Zone. I also love lunch at the Flamingo Room at the Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel. There are so many amazing places in Dubai, Key West at the Nikki Beach Hotel is cool too.

What do you do to relax and unwind?
I am not very good at relaxing I’m afraid. When I was a little girl my father always told me, I should learn to relax, and I never understood what he meant – now I do! I love to exercise as this helps to clear my thoughts and relaxes me as best I can be.
What really annoys you?
It’s terrible, but people walking slowly when I want to go quickly.
If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?
Slow down and have more confidence in your ability is my advice to myself.
Did you have a plan B career path?
No. Once I knew what I wanted to do there was no stopping me and I never thought for one moment that it wasn’t going to be successful at it.
Who would you like to be stuck on a desert island with?
I really enjoy brains, I never realised it when I was younger, so anyone, male or female if they were intelligent, interesting and entertaining. I love Amelia Fox.
What book are you reading at the moment?
I am reading a book entitled “Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker”.
What is your happy place?
I am happiest with my friends and two children. I have some long-term friendships from my school days and they are very important to me.

You get out of life what you put in.
How do you want the world to remember you?
I want to be remembered for bringing quality medical based foot treatments and luxurious, problem solving foot products into the beauty arena worldwide. So, fusing medical and beauty for the feet.
