A New Exhibition in Dubai Celebrates the Work of Karl Lagerfeld

“Lagerfeld, the Chanel shows” a travelling exhibition, is celebrating the life and work of the late Karl Lagerfeld.

 

Having previously travelled to Paris and London the exhibition by Simon Procter is showcasing a series of the most influential runaway images paired with an exclusive afternoon tea experience at Palm Jumeirah’s Jumeriah Zabeel Saray hotel.

 

 

In collaboration with 7 Art Gallery, the exhibition will showcase a series of images from Lagerfeld’s Chanel shows over the years, capturing the energy and essence from the behind the scenes taken by the lens with images by renowned photographer Simon Procter.

 

The prints will are now on display at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray’s central lobby. Inspired by Lagerfeld and Chanel’s timeless fashion, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray has created, a limited-edition special afternoon tea titled “The Expression Afternoon Tea”, which will be curated for guests across the duration of the exhibition to celebrate this special art event.

 

 

Simon Procter said: “It’s a great pleasure to have my work exhibited at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. I thank them for the support and hope you enjoy the artwork that I compiled through my 16 years of work with Karl Lagerfeld, a fascinating and interesting man who worked hard and inspired many.  The images you’re going to see are a celebration of his work with Chanel which showcases the highest level of luxury just like the location that is exhibiting them”
