What does celebrating Emirati Women’s Day mean to you?

Being an Emirati woman means that you are strong, capable, worthy, and valuable in all forms. I am thankful for the priceless opportunities, overwhelming support, and perpetual privileges — We are fortunate for being celebrated every single day by just living in the UAE.

How would you assess the journey of Emirati women so far in terms of their achievements?

“We do not only empower women, but we empower the whole community through women”
– His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum

This quote describes the support women are receiving just by being women in this country. It is indeed very overwhelming by all means— Growing up in the UAE is a privilege, beautiful, and inspiring thing, as the rapid developments urge us to work hard to keep up and develop ourselves, and goals too! We are very driven in representing our country in a very optimistic way.

What is your biggest achievement so far?

I treasure my collaborations, all of them — From my Tiffany’s & Co campaigns to the Christian Dior’s designing partnership to the Louis Vuitton edit, to Jimmy Choo, Rene Caovilla, and Christian Louboutins’ collaborations and everything in between! My goal is to always connect the regional community to our favourite brands uniquely, and marking a noticeable trace in the global fashion industry as a designer from the UAE is my utmost dream.

Every achievement is beautiful by itself, it’s the fruit of long nights, dedications, and hardworking days — I appreciate each accomplishment differently, and all of them are nothing but genuinely dear to my heart.

As an Emirati woman what do you still aim to achieve?

My utmost goal is to mark a noticeable trace in the global fashion industry as a designer from the UAE.

What is your personal motto?

Work until you no longer have to introduce yourself.

Who is a woman that inspires you?

A woman who appreciates her education, treasure her dreams and believe in her goals.
