Our Favourite New Season Summer Accessories

For Milan Fashion Week, the team headed to the cosmopolitan city to preview the latest SS17 collections. We went backstage at the shows and attended the week’s most exclusive events and exhibitions just to check out the must-have new styles for the season.

At Dolce & Gabbana, floral prints and motifs, colourful sequins and beading were displayed on clutches, tote bags, shoes and headpieces. A fruity theme was showcased on sunglasses and on hat box-style bags. This was also evident at Charlotte Olympia. Banana leaf motifs and fruit embellishment were emblazoned on heels, woven flatforms and handbags. The sense of a club tropicana echoed in both houses.

Etro highlighted a world traveller-feel with boho large disc necklaces and bucket bags in stripes and paisley prints. Missoni made rock crystal, disc shaped, cutout earrings, whilst Marni was minimalist with oversized saddle bags that were worn on waists and bold bright sporty bucket bags.

We loved Jimmy Choo’s garden inspired theme with an Art Deco touch. Giuseppe Zanotti’s collection was elegant with embellished colourful crystal stones to form flowers on sandals, jewelled toned platforms and floral appliqué sky-high heels. They also had a relaxed vibe with leather rucksacks, and leather and studded zip trainers.

Bottega Veneta had a brown woven tote handbag with floral leather appliqué, sophisticated leopard print bags and athleisure wedge brogues. Whilst Bulgari had ultra glamorous snakeskin and python embellished handbags in bold shades and sunglasses in metallic hues.
