Athleisure has been creeping into the forefront of all the designer fashion shows for the last few seasons. Now it’s gone one step further; the latest trend is all about elegant sporty-leisure wear that don’t just look good as urban street wear, but also fit in with a spot of lunch at the country club. Take a look at Versace Spring 2017.

BASIC PINKS

There were several shows that highlighted the colour pink as a key colour for 2017. Balenciaga, Celine and Valentino were just some of the shows that focused on this shade. This bold colour is fast becoming a staple colour, replacing the classic camel. There were so many hues of pinks on the catwalk – so make room in your wardrobe.

PLATFORM SHOES

Last year, white trainers were the reigning footwear of choice. This year marks the return of the platform. Rochas showed off their pretty shades of platform clog styles, Balenciaga highlighted their square-toed stompers, whilst Gucci’s and Maison Margiela had lifted loafers that were also popular designs.

PHONE CASES

Phone cases will be the new It bags in 2017. Nowadays, you don’t need much more than your iPhone when you leave the house—and designers have taken note. For Spring, Louis Vuitton’s new phone cases were one of the highlights of the season. Nicolas Ghesquière created a stylish monogrammed leather case that will be a big hit, no doubt.

SHOULDER DUSTERS

Earrings seem to get bigger and bigger as the season’s go on. Statement earrings were already huge last season but they just continue to stand out from the crowd. You won’t even need much more to accessorise your outfit.  If you don’t know where to get yours, check out Proenza Schouler’s door knockers and Altuzarra’s cherry red hoops – they are must-have pieces!
