Luxury e-retailer NET-A-PORTER announces their exclusive collaboration with the cult Danish fashion label GANNI, for a launch of a new denim capsule collection.

The Scandi brand is famous for their signature modern over-sized cuts, and their light denim shades of blue, off-white, soft pink and pale yellow. The denim capsule was debuted at the SS’18 runway show, which consisted of 10 ready-to-wear items including: jackets, jeans and a skirt. The exclusive collection will only be available on NET-A-PORTER, the brand’s official website and in selected GANNI stores from March 23, 2018.

GANNI’s Creative Director, Ditte Reffstrup joined hands with Swedish experts Bengt Thornefors and Christoffer Svensson of the famous bed linen brand Magniberg to create a range that sends a strong playful impact that is at the heart of the brand. It is mentioned that Thornefors and Svensson have a previous experience in denim and ready-to-wear design at houses like Acne Studios, Givenchy and Saint Laurent, but this the GANNI denim capsule collection is the duo’s first-ever fashion collaboration since founding Magniberg.

“We have been wanting to do denim for quite some time, but we respect how much of a science it is. So when the denim geniuses from Magniberg proposed a collaboration through a friend we jumped at the opportunity to do denim the ‘GANNI way’, working with colours, contrasts and playfulness. Denim is essentially a great counterpoint to our prints and feminine DNA. We are really looking forward to launching this line in a global context with the amazing team at NET-A-PORTER.” – Ditte Reffstrup, Creative Director, GANNI
