Loro Piana presented its Spring/Summer 2027 women’s collection, Solutions For, as part Milan Fashion Week at the Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense in Palazzo di Brera earlier today.
The collection revisits the house’s longstanding focus on functionality, using materials, construction and design to address different needs throughout the day and across the changing seasons.
For SS27, the maison takes its starting point in colder early spring weather before progressing towards full summer. Central to the offering are enduring wardrobe archetypes, including the camel blazer, cape and little black dress, streamlined and produced in Loro Piana’s selected materials.
The house’s elongated, soft and layered silhouette continues, with flat and low-heeled footwear and statement hats completing many looks. Layering is used to provide protection without adding bulk, with coats, bombers, capes and raincoats appearing alongside tweed and hunting jackets. As temperatures rise, the collection becomes progressively lighter, with shorter sleeves, open layers and more fluid shapes.
Elsewhere in the collection, there are expedition shirts, sahariennes and field jackets for travel, alongside utilitarian-inspired shorts. For the beach, Loro Piana proposes crochet ensembles, apron dresses, silk pyjamas, shorts and gilets, while swimwear and pareo-inspired pieces are designed to move between the water and shade. Evening looks become increasingly fluid, with floral prints appearing as softened impressions of colour.
The collection follows the same approach across accessories. Bags are offered in soft leathers, matching fabrics and wicker, with new iterations including the Loom in a new size, the Bale Softy and Extra Softy Backpack. Meanwhile, costume jewellery includes new versions of the house’s pins in agate and silver, enamel pieces, and black agate and pearl necklaces.
Footwear ranges from ballerina flats, including the new Martha, to city loafers, the new Sunday Walk sneakers and espadrilles. The Joan loafer is presented in supple calf leather, while the Fast Walk appears in new iterations.
For the Milan presentation, the Maria Teresa room at the Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense was arranged with canvas panels featuring original sketches of Loro Piana archetypes, while wooden library ladders displayed bags and soft accessories. Signature garments and Grande Unita scarves were presented in walnut cases alongside their sketches and accompanying poems.
