Loro Piana has launched its first-ever exhibition called ‘If You Know, You Know. Loro Piana’s Quest for Excellence’, to mark the Maison’s centenary.

Running until the 5th of May 2025, the exhibition is being held at the Museum of Art Pudong (MAP) in Shanghai.

Curated by Judith Clark, the exhibition explores Loro Piana’s six-generation legacy, its artisanal know-how, and its pursuit of the world’s finest fibres. More than 1,000 square metres of space are dedicated to immersive, sensory installations, featuring heirloom fabrics, rare garments, and artworks from the Sergio and Luisa Loro Piana Collection alongside pieces by Lucio Fontana and Qiu Zhijie.

The showcase includes 33 specially created ensembles and miniature landscapes representing fibre-sourcing locations such as New Zealand, the Andes, and Inner Mongolia. A laboratory section highlights the brand’s fibre quality control.

The exhibition includes collaborations with Chinese artists and musicians, blending Italian and Chinese cultural traditions. This retrospective reflects Loro Piana’s commitment to craftsmanship, heritage, and innovation as it celebrates 100 years of Italian excellence.
