The Islamic Fashion & Design Council has joined together with Milan Fashion Week to host a modest fashion event this month.

Acting as a platform for emerging names to showcase their designs to the style savvy, Modest Soiree will take place on September 24. In a statement, the organisers stressed the importance of providing visibility to these brands and added:
“Italy is currently the fourth largest Muslim population in Europe which is key to the modest fashion demand.”

Designers include Saudi Arabia’s Bow Boutique, Brunei-based Chantique, Italian modeswear brand Luya Moda and American label Al Nisa Designs.
