Phoebe Philo Returns To Fashion With Her Own Brand

Three and a half years of leaving her position of Artistic Director of Celine Phoebe Philo will return to the fashion world with her own fashion brand.

 

Her independent label “Phoebe Philo”, which will be partly backed by the LVMH Group but will see Philo remain firmly in the driving seat with the freedom to “govern and experiment” according to a press release.

 

“Being in my studio and making once again has been both exciting and incredibly fulfilling,” Philo said in the announcement. “I am very much looking forward to being back in touch with my audience and people everywhere.”

 

Philo whose career has seen her as Creative Director of Chloé, followed by ten years as Creative Director of Celine in which she revitalised the brand and took it to new heights.

The designer is known for her unique approach to creating clothes for women that fall effortlessly on the body, capturing the essence of French sophistication.

 

In the announcement Bernard Arnault, Chairman of LVMH, called the new line an “entrepreneurial adventure.”

 

More details are yet to be announced of the details of the brand but it is likely to out of the box and forward-thinking, much like the designer herself.
