Tom Ford kicked off New York Fashion Week with a splash of bright neon hues, animal prints, luxe sequins suits and shiny flats paired with classic fishnets. Following his first-ever Menswear show, Ford displayed his vampy ‘80s inspired FW18 ready to wear collection in front of a celeb-packed venue at Park Avenue Armory late last night.

As usual, there was nothing subtle about it. From super-short minidresses paired with needle stilettos or over-the-knee boots, Ford welcomed a set of neon coloured animal print tights in bright red and yellow matched with glittery pointy-toed heels with black fishnets.

Models pranced the runway as they rocked shiny leather ’80s headbands and oversized metallic hoops, looking like Rodeo drive goddesses.

Ford’s entire collection referenced this great urban city, and the vibrant palette was a positive antidote to the jet-black apparels of New York as a whole.
