If you’re thinking of changing up your wardrobe or need some new inspiration for summer vacation ensembles, then we’ve got you covered on this season’s latest styles and trends. Keep the shirts short-sleeved for summer sun or layer items up for cooler climates, whatever the weather, we’ve taken inspiration from some of our favourite male style icons.

Austin Butler

If we’re going to begin with anyone, then it’s got to be Austin Butler. Not just because he’s made a huge impact on the red carpet recently at the Cannes Film Festival, but because we are obsessed with his super-cool style. The actor, who plays Elvis Presley in the new “Elvis” film, seems to effortlessly mix casual and classy. We aren’t sure if it’s the hair or the clothes, but something has us reminiscing of the days when stars such as Patrick Swayze and John Travolta were on the big screens. To get Austin’s look, try pairing a simple white t-shirt or short-sleeved button-up shirt from The Row, tucked into pleated Alexander McQueen trousers and an optional relaxed fit blazer on top. Keep the colour palette simple and accessorise with black boots, Jacques Marie Mage shades and a Cartier leather strap watch or simple gold jewellery.

Rami Malek

If you’re looking for something with a little extra colour or some jazzier prints for the summer, then Rami Malek knows how to style it. The American actor, known for his roles in “Mr Robot” and “Bohemian Rhapsody”, perfectly incorporates colourful accents into his sophisticated style, whether it be for a casual or dressy occasion. To achieve Rami’s style, select one of his favourite colourful short-sleeved shirts from Sandro and pair it with a leather belt and high-waist straight leg trousers for casual summer vibes, or alternatively pair it with a smart suit by Dior Homme, make sure to leave out the tie and always have the shirt buttoned to the top.

Lewis Hamilton

Sporty, colourful, oversized or co-ordinating: Lewis Hamilton has sports-chic style perfected. He effortlessly seems to pull off just about anything, no matter the pattern, colour or fit. Lewis’ style has most definitely evolved over the years; from previously playing it safe in white t-shirts and ripped jeans, we now see him making bold fashion statements. Recently named as Valentino’s DI.VAs ambassador, Lewis also shares powerful messages printed on t-shirts, and on more than one occasion, has been seen sporting signature F1 colours and prints in his personal style. To achieve Lewis’s eclectic look, make sure to keep with one bright colour, coordinating it throughout – Valentino and Balenciaga are always good places to start.

Ryan Reynolds

For something a little more stripped back, and a wardrobe you can balance with hectic family life, look to Ryan Reynolds. Married to Blake Lively, the pair boast stylish couple goals. He’s not a celeb that stands out for being edgy or following the latest trend, but more because of his classic, comfortable yet smart masculine style. Ryan is often seen wearing neutral or muted tones paired with denim, and we can’t help but love his bold Tom Ford spectacles that add wisdom to his sophisticated style. Ryan admits that he doesn’t have a lot of fancy clothes, but rather loves a simple selection that is going to stand the test of time, if it’s a Giorgio Armani suit and a pair of leather boots, you won’t go wrong.

Jared Leto

Although his style is not everyone’s cup of tea, you cannot deny that Jared Leto is an absolute fashion icon. He pushes the boundaries of fashion and expresses his personality through his unique sense of style, taking inspiration from history and the fashion world’s archives. Whether at the Met Gala or a Gucci fashion show, he truly makes a statement, and we’ve noticed he loves a good, checkered number too. Jared keeps it casual by adding a good quality flannel shirt over a vest in the summer, paired with some metal rimmed shades. In contrast, he dresses it up in Gucci suits for his big events, the ’70s flared pantsuits in bright colours, patterns and velvet materials give us unmistakable ABBA vibes and the oversized bow tie perfectly finishes the look.
