ZEGNA explores family legacy in latest Su Misura film

ZEGNA has unveiled its latest Su Misura film campaign, starring Global Ambassador Mads Mikkelsen, with the film exploring tailoring through the themes of family, legacy and time.

The campaign centres on the idea of the family closet, where timeless pieces passed down from fathers or grandfathers take on new significance when worn by the next generation. Rather than simply being garments, these pieces can become part of a family’s personal history.

In the film, Mikkelsen takes one of his jackets to a tailor to have it altered for his son. The gesture provides the central narrative for the campaign, highlighting how clothing can be connected to memories, values and family legacy.

The campaign presents Su Misura as more than a tailoring service. ZEGNA describes it as an experience in which a garment is created to reflect the character and story of the person wearing it, while also having the potential to become part of the stories of future generations.

The film concludes with the tailor reflecting on the purpose of his craft. Having watched men prepare for significant moments in their lives, he considers the role a garment can play beyond its practical function. The focus is not only on creating a suit, but on shaping the shoulders that will carry a life.

The campaign follows Su Misura through different stages of time, positioning clothing as a way of accompanying important moments and carrying stories between generations.

The full-length film serves as the campaign’s hero asset, supported by four chapters that follow the story in sequence. Mikkelsen’s role places the relationship between tailoring, family and the passage of time at the centre of ZEGNA’s latest Su Misura campaign.
