In line with the Arab Fashion Council’s vision for an eco-sustainable future, the Italian luxury brand, Cangiari presented a transitive and progressive collection. Known for being the first eco-ethical fashion brand, Cangiari stood out for its hand-loom fabrics of ancient Calabrian weaving. Together with research and innovation, Cangiari creates organic yarns in order to respect the ecosystem and the welfare of those who wear them. The collection showcased earthy elements of charcoal blacks and vintage reds with accessorised pebble stones. A gallant-tone palette made an elegant statement of sustainable fashion that exceeded expectations for the Arab Fashion Week Ready Couture Fall Winter 2016-17.
JAMAL TASLAQ
Jamal Taslaq kicked off the evening with an exuberant soft toned palette collection with a salute to the Grecian goddess. Distinctive bridal white, ivory and cream hues, and shades of baby pink with sheer lace perfected the silhouettes with grace and beauty. Hints of metallic accessorised the runway that kept the mood subtle, yet brought an empowering statement with the collection. The man who has designed for celebrities and icons across the world including Queen Rania and Sharon Stone stole the limelight.
HUAWEI FASHIONLOGY in collaboration with J by Jordy
The final day of the second edition of Arab Fashion Week welcomed back J by Jordy with another exceptional and futuristic collection. Keeping intact a natural earthy palette, Jordy Fu showcased an enigmatic sculptured and layered collection that featured segmented architectural pieces.
KACEM SAHL + ROCCO BARROCCO
Kacem Sahl introduced a fairy tale collection featuring shimmer and fine details. Intricate sequins, delicate embroidery, a bold palette empowered the imagination to limitless dreams that added a sensuous ambiance to a winter garden. Supporting the exquisite designs of Kacem Sahl, the collection of Rocco Barocco brought a refined luxury to the runway. Magnificent lacing and majestic fabrics transformed the stage with striking brilliance. Studded accessories and contemporary jewellery adorned the graceful silhouettes.
DANY ATRACHE
Dany Atrache concluded the evening on a high note with an absolute ravishing collection that was inspired with floral aesthetics. Featuring rustic ornate elements, the collection provided deeper insights to fabrics, detailing and concepts. A collection palette that has pastel yet bold colours and gave the evening a sophisticated appeal with striking sensuality.
