Showcasing the finest and most iconic looks of Autumn/Winter 2016, premier department store Harvey Nichols Dubai presented the season’s key fashion trends at a fashion show labelled ‘Time is Luxury.’ The Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach hosted the luxurious event. The beachfront luxury resort, boasting a modern Arabian style, was transformed into an elegant ballroom set off by exquisite chandeliers and echoing the ‘Timeless’ theme of the show amidst 200 VIP guests.
Inspired by the runways of New York, London, Milan and Paris, the show was a careful curation of the most coveted brands and pieces, put together to emanate a refined style that has become the signature of Harvey Nichols – Dubai. Models wore equally chic makeup looks by Giorgio Armani Beauty in the form of ombre lips and nude eyes to compliment the evening’s theme while the hair was coiffed in a simple, windswept style by Show Beauty.
The runway featured a kaleidoscope of trends including this season’s love for all things ethereal; standout examples from Chloe, Jonathan Simkhai, Alexander McQueen and Costarellos featuring hints of lace and velvet. There was a polished femininity and sophistication with the feature of ruffles in an array of beautiful hues; as seen in collections by Monique Luhiller, Johanna Ortiz and Stella McCartney.
The simplicity of black and white outfits looked sophisticated against the season’s bright colours. The art of contrast was showcased with a fresh highlight of monochrome; seen by Dries Van Noten, Johanthan Simkhai and Erdem. All the pieces displayed at the show are available now.
