Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Make Their First Public Appearance As Duke and Duchess of Sussex

Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry made their  first official royal engagement following the Royal wedding on Saturday, and naturally everybody wanted to know what the Duchess of Sussex was wearing.

 

The newlyweds attended a garden party for the 70th Birthday Patronage Celebration of Harry’s father, Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace. For occasion, the Meghan was dressed in Flavia Silk-Crepe Pencil Dress by Goat with a matching pale pink Philip Treacy fascinator.

The British brands website crushed following a flood of shoppers wanting to snap up the royally approved dress with a spokesperson for the label commenting:

 

“We are delighted Meghan chose to wear Goat and it was a pleasure the make a custom dress for her.”

It’s not unusual for a member of a royal family create a fashion frenzy with both Meghan and Kate Milddleton’s choices being snapped up seconds after public appearances. The Duchess of Sussex looked positively happy making her first appearance as a royal and the Royal Family have confirmed on their website that she will ‘undertake royal duties in support of The Queen, both in the U.K. and overseas’ as well as ‘devote her time to supporting a number of charities and organizations.’
