MONCLER GENIUS

Fashion world mourned the end Giambattista Valli’s Moncler Gamme Bleu and Gamme Rouge lines after a 10 year run, but all’s well that ends well as now eight leading designers have been enlisted to create eight different collections for the brand.

Called Genius, these separate collections will launch one month at a time following a group reveal during Milan Fashion Week. One of those names is Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli who will design the first line of the new concept.

Piccioli says: “The spirit of the project is something daring: It emphasizes the value of creativity and talent. It is something challenging for me to work with totally different materials and the totally different DNA of the brand.”

Following Piccioli will be Karl Templer who will create a line titled 1952. Line 3 will be the brand’s technical ski line, Grenoble designed by Sandro Mandrino while Line 4 will be in the capable hands of British designer Simone Rocha. Craig Green, Kei Ninomiya, Hiroji Fujiwara of Fragment and Palm Angel’s Francesco Ragazzi complete this creative dream team.

Each range will be available to buy at a selected online space at the beginning of each month for five days only before being released on other Moncler platforms.

We can’t wait to see eight different personalities of a much-loved outwear brand.
