Vilebrequin, the luxury French resort and swimwear label, celebrated the Middle East launch of its SS17 collection in style in Dubai last week.
A unique Riviera-themed event was held at Fish Beach Taverna where models revealed the new season prints and styles in a sunset show on the beach. It was the perfect setting in which to showcase the new collection.
Vilebrequin drew inspiration from the St. Tropez lifestyle for the event to give guests a little taste of the origins of the brand’s spirit and atmosphere. Fresh coconut water was served and hair braiding, white henna tattoos and flower crowns were shared out among the crowd to give a real relaxed beach vibe to the party.
The brand is known for its warm and bright shades, and this season they mixed that with a theme of inner peace and tranquility. The collection, called Zen, evoked feelings of gently swaying in the breeze underneath the palm trees and drifting away into turquoise waters among the fish and the coral.
The prints in the collection had soft elements using gentle brushstrokes and calligraphy techniques. They didn’t lose their element of fun though, with playful seahorses and coral and fish prints in the mix on beach tunics, casual dresses, shirts and silk scarves. There was also a rich red and navy anchor print that gave a geometric edge to the collection.
The new Vilebrequin SS17 collection is available in all Vilebrequin stores across the region until August 2017.
