Escape: A&E Stylish Guide To Milan

Diana Bell-Heather   |   23-09-2017

You don’t have to attend Milan Fashion Week to feel like you’re one of the most stylish cities in the world.

Stay

Four Seasons Hotel is in the center of everything, especially the boutiques and benefits from a tranquil spa and picturesque courtyard. For a more serene setting there is The BVLGARI Hotel which is elegant and modern that serves one of the best aperativo in town.

Eat

Il Salumaio di Montenapoleone is a great spot for lunch with beautiful interior and standout Milanese cuisine, make sure to book in advance. For family style food which is just a short walk away from Salumaio, try Bice. It gets very busy but it’s worth the hustle.

Need an espresso hit? Telescope cafe is one of new places on the block for a no fuss good cup (or two) of coffee.

For the sweetest treat in town, Grom is the tastiest gelato that offers a wide variety of flavours.

Shop

Head to Via della Spiga for the top designer shopping while Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the spot for high street favourites. Don’t forget Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

For a unique vintage find, head to Spazio Rossana Orlandi where you’ll find unique interiors and one-off pieces.

Do

Apart from the usual suspects, why not head down to Via Fiori Chiari, one of most known antique markets in town filled with rare books and other trinquets.

Visit navigli (the canals) for informal dining and browsing in antique shops or simply strolling by the water.
