If you’re feeling at somewhat of a loss following the end of Expo 2020, then this next event could spark some excitement. Tourism professionals from around the world will return to Dubai next week when Arabian Travel Market hosts its leading exhibition in the Middle East.

The event will take place beginning on Monday 9th May and will run for four days. Hosted at the World Trade Centre, more than 20,000 visitors and 1,500 companies are expected to attend the tourism showcase.

Visitors can expect to see a host of exciting presentations and discussions from 112 countries such as Japan, Jamaica, South Africa and Saudi Arabia which includes the vision for the NEOM development.

In line with this year’s theme, ‘The Future of International Travel and Tourism’, business professionals will discuss the latest trends in sustainability, transport, technology and how to drive the travel industry forward since the pandemic.

“The tourism industry has rebounded incredibly well. As a result, we have seen a clear uptick in participation, with floor space increasing by over 85% compared to the previous year and Middle East exhibitor space eclipsing 2019 levels. We now have the perfect opportunity to hear from industry professionals on the latest trends helping the industry recover and flourish in many instances” said Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME – Arabian Travel Market.

In addition to the demonstrations, the ATM Draper-Aladdin Start-up Competition, which was launched earlier this year, will take place on-site. In a bid for funding of up to US$1 million, 15 travel, tourism and hospitality start-ups will pitch as part of the hit TV show, Meet the Drapers.

The in-person event concludes on 12th May, but guests can also see a virtual event online between 17th-18th May.
