Spa Treatment Of The Week

For a holiday season treat, try a traditional Turkish Bath Ritual at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. The exotic spa is renowned for its Thai hospitality in Dubai, offering a unique kind of urban escape in the most cosmopolitan city of the United Arab. It’s set amidst lush tropical landscaping and poised over the Arabian Gulf.

The tranquil sanctuary features innovative facilities and an extensive treatment menu to offer inspirational spa experiences, enhanced by the healing hands of highly trained therapists. The spa has 24 luxurious treatment rooms, along with the addition of two new 34-square metre couples’ massage rooms with built in sauna, showers and whirlpool featuring Microsilk technology. It’s the first spa in the region to introduce this technology.

One particular sensational treatment to experience is in the Turkish-inspired hammam. Here you can relax and sweat next to a churn (the small marble basin). Next comes the scrubbing, whilst you sit back and relax an attendant exfoliates every inch of your body with a kese. Once that is done, you lie on a warm marble slab called the gobektasi in the hot section. This is possibly the most amazing tantalising feeling when a lacy, foam-filled cloth is swept, thoroughly, all over your body creating a soft, relaxing sensation. It is also a moisturising massage; you’re left refreshed, renewed and soft like a baby’s bottom.

You can enjoy a couples’ hammam or simply one on your own. There are separate male and female facilities as well as relaxation areas, changing rooms and a boutique where guests can purchase their favourite spa products.
