Leading Swiss manufacturer, Audemars Piguet raised more than AED 31.2 million for charity at an auction hosted in Dubai this week.
The event was held to celebrate the release of the latest Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon “Spider-Man” model, the second iteration of its collaboration with Marvel which started in 2021.
There are only 250 editions of the new model, which features an openworked movement including a 3D silhouette of the superhero.
For the event one of the timepieces was auctioned, along with two different designs.
The two non-profit organisations which will be awarded the money raised, include First Book and Ashoka, who both dedicate their energies to encourage young people to become agents of change.
