Day two at Paris Fashion Week FW18 channeled artful glam, whimsical patterns and iridescent designs.

Galliano had his eye on the future, and nothing but the future. For his Martin Margiela FW18 collecion he called it “dressing in reverse.” The dramatic range was a mere vision of what fashion forward pieces must look like; there were plastic PVC raincoats in flashy colours coordinated with dresses, chunky cushioned sneakers, sporty puff jackets. The best part was when the models cascaded the runway to the Saints Go Marching In anthem, wearing astronaut-hockey soft helmets.

Ingie Paris’ FW18 collection celebrated the surrealist world of femininity. It was pure gold with a unique exploration of popping colours and intricate embellishments. The high-shine collection was a parade full of excitement and incredible after-dark outfits injected with maximum sparkle and fashion-forward attitude.

Dries Van Noten welcomed a free-spirited FW18 collection, incorporated with unexpected glamour. There were soft prints in shades of green, beautiful silks; and refined embellishments, gorgeous brocade and feathers all united together the brought out the best of Van Noten’s signature romantic style. Oversized parkas and loose jogger trousers gave this lyrical collection a sporty chic vibe, making it a highly versatile for today’s modern woman.

Ralph & Russo revealed their second ready-to-wear collection in a presentation in the heart Paris. For their FW18, the duo designer embraced effortless elegance by showcasing the brand’s pristine signature details with a big splash of gold metallic all throughout.

At Rochas’ FW18 it was a breath of fresh air with a strong placed focus on feminine sophistication. The refined autumnal colours featured python prints, subtle sparkles and heavy embroidery. This collection visualised the discrete bourgeoisie in whimsical patterns with a rich mixture of textures and certain retro aesthetics. It was très chic!
