An interview with Founder of luxury accessories brand S’uvimol, Patcharapimol Youngprapakorn.
Created in Bangkok in 2011, the S’uvimol brand was founded and designed by the daughter and granddaughters of Mr Utai, owner of the world famous Samutprakarn Crocodile Farm. With an exquisite knowledge for exotic leathers and love of fashion, Patcharapimol Youngprapakorn together with her two daughters created the S’uvimol brand, benefiting from the farm’s production of world-class skins to provide elegant and exceptionally unique bags not only for crocodile leather fans but for all high fashion lovers. Each design is truly distinct and beautiful, whether to be carried as an everyday accessory or for a special occasion, those adorning S’uvimol Arabia bags will be instantly recognised for style, taste and opulence.
Patacharapimol Youngprapakorn established the breeding crocodile farm in Nakonprathom for the main purpose of exporting leather. This breeding farm is now established in exporting to high end tanneries. With her family heritage in exotic skins, she utilised this extensive knowledge and her passion for the fashion industry to start the luxurious crocodile bag brand. Pat placed emphasis on her concept since the beginning; to create truly elegant and unique crocodile bags. She has recently gone on to achieve ‘Outstanding Business Woman of 2016’ award from Business and Professional Woman’s Association of Thailand.

Tell us a bit about your background?
I grew up in my father’s crocodile farm and zoo business. My father, Utai Youngprapakorn started the first and the biggest crocodile farm in Thailand. I studied in Taiwan and went on to London to read economic study and interior design. Because of my rich history with the crocodile farm, I created S’uvimol to fulfil my passion for exotic skins and fashion.
What else made you want to create your brand?
I wanted to serve all women around the world with the finest exotic skin bags from the best materials and craftsmanship.
What makes your brand stand out compared to other luxury handbag brands?
S’uvimol stands out from other brands because it is an 100 per cent exotic skin bag brand. Our exotic skins are crocodile, ostrich and python. We are planning to expand to stringray and mink fur later this year. Each design is created by my daughter, Javamond Pavarodom, and produced by Thai artisans.

Tell us about your latest collection.
Our newest design is the “Olivia” Clutch which we are very proud of because it is our first evening clutch and we have received amazing feedback. It has our signature geometric shapes such as the rectangle and square. The charm on top of the clutch is our signature “Baby Croco Egg.” It is one of our must have items.
How would you describe your style?
I love wearing big bold statement pieces such as a big collar or strong shape on the dress. I think the outfit you wear reflects your personality and your attitude, but above all what you wear should give you confidence and happiness. Every day I choose to wear something that will make me happy as well as look good.
Your favourite outfit and why?
The red outfit shown in the photo from “Fly Now Gold Label”. It is one of my favourite Thai labels. I love it because the shape of the dress is really flattering.
What should we expect from S’uvimol this year?
We are expanding to Kuwait and USA. We will also launch many new designs, which we are very excited about because we will use many new technique for the bags. We will also have new colouring technique for our Python as well. Also, we hope to officially announce soon S’uvimol’s very own tanning label. We will partner with one of the best tanneries in the world to establish “S’uvimol Tannery”.
