Coachella officially kicked off the festival season and we got our first dose of trends that will be sweeping through musical events this summer.

With performances from some of the biggest name, including Beyoncé who rocked the stage is custom-made Balmain, the festival goers dressed up for the occasion. There was plenty of boho chic with fringing, crochet and flowing fabrics while cowboy boots dominated the footwear category. We also spotted 90’s sunglasses and to our delight, not a single flower crown in site. Instead many opted for braids, natural waves or accessorised with a wide brim hat.

Rihanna went against the usual dress code by choosing a sportier look which gave a nod to early 2000s hip hop. Pared back style is not the way at Coachella with plenty of floral prints and embellishment, but this year there was also a lot of denim and neutral shades that mimicked the Californian desert.
