Hop on the Prada Silver Line train and shop a selection of luxury bags and accessories.
The imaginary railway station, along with a metal train coach, stops at The Dubai Mall’s Fashion Catwalk from February 15 before travelling onwards to Asia, Europe and the U.S.
The retro pop up is reminiscent of the American Streamliners of the ‘30s and ‘50s; the interior features walls covered in floral-patterned red silk brocade to create a luxurious, romantic look. The illuminated platforms host a series of small installations that complement the main aesthetic experience embodied by the train: life-size Prada Robots act as porters pushing luggage trolleys, and the ticket kiosk turns into a concierge to organise visits to the pop-up store and deliver purchases to customers’ homes. The setting is completed by the Prada iconic black-and-white chequered floor which you see in all their stores.
The itinerant project kicked off last year in Macau and offers customers a chance to acquire exclusive pieces – which are chosen for each leg of the journey – and presented inside the original installation.
If only all train stations looked this fashionable.
