Exclusive behind the scenes images at Armani’s “Emotions of the Athletic Body” exhibition

During Milan Fashion Week, those in the fashion world gathered at Armani/Silos, the iconic Italian brand’s exhibition space, for the private opening of a new exhibition entitled “Emotions of the Athletic Body.” Curated by Giorgio Armani himself.  He shows his support for the Special Olympics, the international sports organisation for people with intellectual disabilities.

The designer, considers sport as a major factor in his accomplishments to date. The exhibition consists of images sourced from Armani advertising campaigns in addition to the books “Athlete” and “Facce da Sport.” Accompanying the still images are a number of previously unseen video installations and a life-sized model of an athlete. Work by photographers Aldo Fallai, Richard Phibbs and Kurt Markus is exhibited amongst an impressive chain of others, portraying sportsmen and women wearing Armani.
