L’Artisan Parfumeur has revealed a new scent called Abyssae.
It is part of the house’s La Botanique collection – a series of fragrances inspired by the enigmatic world of nocturnal plants.
Discussing the new scent, the house said “Abyssae is inspired by the deep, unexplored regions of the ocean, where unique botanical life forms flourish in darkness. This fragrance mirrors the enigmatic beauty of these underwater plants, blending marine and floral elements to create a scent that is both haunting and beautiful.”
The fragrance journey begins with the invigorating freshness of salty marine accords, evoking the sensation of descending into the cool, shadowy waters of the ocean.
As the scent unfolds, it reveals a heart of eucalyptus and aquatic florals intertwined with seaweed, capturing the essence of the ocean’s hidden gardens.
The base notes deepen with the rich warmth of velvety woods, cashmeran, and ambergris, echoing the profound stillness of the ocean floor where nature’s secrets lie untouched by time.
