Mimicking the latest runway beauty looks isn’t as difficult as it might seem, and from the products to use to the techniques to employ, here’s how to ace Givenchy’s AW19 backstage makeup look.

For her Autumn/Winter 2019 Ready-To-Wear clothing collection, Givenchy‘s Artistic Director Clare Waight Keller tapped into trends such as exaggerated shoulders, unconventional animal print, delicate florals and more. The colourful collection was titled Winter of Eden.

Complimenting the collection was the beauty look, which was softer and more subtle, but still had an earthy feel.

Here's how to get the Givenchy AW19 beauty look from the people who created it

Givenchy opted for bare-faced beauty with worked in eye makeup

The complexion was natural and fresh, lips were kept bare while eyes were accentuated with smudged, lived-in liner, leaving a subtly glamorous finish.

Here’s how to get the look:

Givenchy Teint Couture Everwear Concealer & Matissime Velvet Fluid

“Over moisturised skin, apply a few drops of Matissime Velvet Fluid to the centre of the face and blend out towards the perimeter of the face using your fingertips. Layer on areas that need additional coverage. For under-eye circles, small blemishes and areas that need brightening, customize your coverage with Teint Couture Everwear Concealer for illumination in a single step.

“Press, roll and blend with fingertips or a small fluffy brush until the product melts into the skin and imperfections fade and brighten. Further, enhance and highlight by sweeping a touch of Prisme Visage Silky Face Powder Quartet below the eyes, across the cheekbones and high points of the face. With a large powder brush, sweep Poudre Première Mat & Translucent-Finish Loose Powder across the t-zone to minimize shine.”

“Blend a light wash of Prisme Quatuor No.9 Delicate through the crease using a fluffy blending brush. Blend it along the lower lash line using a small blending brush. Define the lash line using Magic Khol Eyeliner Pencil No.1 Black. Apply the Magic Khol Eyeliner Pencil No.1 Black along the lower lash line. Use a small detail brush to lightly smudge the pencil along the upper & lower lash line, extending outwards into a cat-eye shape.

“Brighten the eyes using Magic Khol Eye Liner Pencil No.2 White through the waterline. Highlight the inner corners using Ombre Couture No.1 Top Coat Blanc Satin. Curl the lashes and finish with Noir Couture Volume Mascara No.1 Black Taffetas to the top and bottom lashes.

Givenchy Mister Brow Groom

Groom the brows by brushing in upward and outward strokes, trimming any overgrown hairs. Use the Givenchy Eyebrow Pencil to fill in gaps and sparse areas of the brow in a feathery motion to mimic the look of real hair. Brush Mister Brow Groom Transparent Setting Gel No.00 Transparent through the brows to keep the hairs in place.

Givenchy Le Rose Perfecto & Mister Healthy Glow Gel
