Louis Vuitton brought an explosion of colours, patterns and theatrics to Paris Fashion Week for the house’s SS24 show.

The new collection was a homecoming of sorts, for Nicolas Ghesquière. This year, the designer is celebrating ten years as Creative Director of the French house.

Instead of showcasing the new collection at one of Paris’ well-known landmarks, he revealed his SS24 show at the Louis Vuitton space on the Champs-Élysées which is currently under construction.

The building itself was originally built to hold guests at the 1900 Expo – when Paris would unveil to the world many wonders, including the Eiffel Tower.

According to the designer, this choice of the spot had to do with his musings on the idea of “temporality”, but certainly the romance of the 1900 era in Paris also comes through in the collection.
