Last night, the fashion elite gathered at the American Museum of Natural History for the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards, where Creative Director Daniel Roseberry received the prestigious International Designer of the Year Award.

This accolade, one of the most sought-after in the industry, recognizes Roseberry’s profound impact on global fashion and his groundbreaking work at the helm of the iconic Parisian couture Maison, Schiaparelli.

Since joining the House in 2019, Roseberry has redefined the legacy of legendary designer Elsa Schiaparelli, blending her avant-garde spirit with a modern, artistic flair. Delphine Bellini, CEO of Schiaparelli, praised Roseberry’s visionary approach: “His bold, sculptural, and surreal designs have captivated the fashion world, making our house a favourite among A-list celebrities and red carpet events worldwide.” His collections masterfully intertwine Haute Couture with the Maison’s signature gold and surreal aesthetic, showcasing luxurious craftsmanship alongside artistic innovation.

The CFDA Awards, often dubbed the “Oscars of Fashion,” celebrate excellence in American and international fashion design. This year’s star-studded event highlighted the creativity and craftsmanship that define the industry. Roseberry’s win not only underscores his influence in Paris but also cements his status as a key figure in the global fashion landscape.

In his heartfelt acceptance speech, Roseberry expressed his gratitude for the honour: “To be recognized by the CFDA is both humbling and exhilarating. At Schiaparelli, we strive to create work that transcends fashion, and being acknowledged by this community of extraordinary talent is deeply meaningful to me and to everyone at the house.”

As the night concluded, the fashion world celebrated not only Roseberry’s remarkable achievements but also the endless possibilities of creative expression within this ever-evolving industry.
