Showcasing her collection for the coming season, Menswear Creative Director Silvia Venturini Fendi presented a botanically inspired collection for Spring 2020 that came both in the literal and indicative sense.
Foliage making up the setting, it was clear where Fendi‘s SS20 menswear collection was going as soon as guests arrived at the Milan’s Villa Reale, taking to the gardens to be seated.
For the coming season, Silvia Venturini Fendi – the fashion house’s Creative Director for accessories, menswear and children – partnered with Luca Guadagnino. The Italian artist and film director worked with Fendu to creative a collection that felt organic, connected and quite literally is down to earth.
The obvious green fingers inspired looks came in the form of botanical prints, khaki overalls and gardening gloves as accessories, while less explicit looks included shades of taupe brown, sage green and almond coral utilised in breezy cuts, oversized pockets on fisherman jackets and summer sun friendly sandals.
