The Carolina Herrera Resort 2023 collection by Wes Gordan takes us on a journey under the Mediterranean sun. Inspired by the sensual glamour of 90’s Supermodels and languid summer nights from Ibiza to St. Tropez, the collection evokes sophisticated whimsy and playful insouciance.
For the day, there is a playful yet polished approach ranging from leopard print dresses in eco-chiffon and cherry print separates in cotton shirting makes for an unexpected mix-and-match approach. A mini coated cotton trench in flamingo pink recalls a modern Belle de Jour, while a minidress in bubblegum pink houndstooth is the perfect destination look.
A feminine poppy print is blown up across day dresses and evening wear while floral details and embroideries shimmer against perfectly tailored gowns. A dramatic strapless gown in hot pink and Herrera red boasts a sensual slit and voluminous faille train, in an ode to the joyful frivolity of 90’s runways. Oversized hats by Parisian milliner Laurence Bossion in stripe cotton oversize sunglasses give the looks a dramatic finish.
