To mark the 70th anniversary of Christian Dior, Assouline is producing a series of seven reference books each devoted to one of the seven couturiers who have shaped the legendary couture house’s history. The French fashion house is to release the first Assouline tome, “Christian Dior: 1947-1957.” The book, dedicated to the founder, spans 504 pages with 345 photographs by Laziz Hamani and text by fashion curator Oliver Saillard, director of the Palais Galliera museum in Paris. It is to be published in French, English and Chinese. Subsequent volumes will be dedicated to Dior’s six successors: Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferre, John Galliano, Raf Simons and Maria Grazia Chiuri.

The books will be published throughout 2017 and 2018 from www.assouline.com.
