The Founder and CEO of Worldwide Distribution Center – one of the largest companies in the Middle East – Khamid and his team work on health and beauty wholesale with a focus of distributing multicultural products throughout the region.
And after another successful year of the Beautyworld Middle East trade show, he has promised us even more exciting newcomers to the region for the years ahead.
Joining the a&e team for Morning Coffee, the businessman chats through his business advice, biggest challenges and the place of sustainability in the beauty industry right now.

On the growth of the beauty industry in the Middle East
After another successful year of the Beautyworld Middle East show – which was held between April 15th and 17th at the Dubai World Trade Centre – Khamid hinted at exciting innovations to come to the region soon. He told us: “This is the largest event fair in the whole Middle East, and this was the eighth year. What I see is it’s growing year-on-year and becoming more popular among the beauty and health industry. This year we had a lot of new customers and a lot of new people with who we exchanged ideas.” He added he’s got even bigger plans for the 2020 edition.
The biggest challenge when starting a business
When talking about the challenges he had to overcome, the Khamid told us: “Starting a new business is always challenging, and it’s challenging because you can fear the unknown of the future. So I believe that you need to overcome this and believe in yourself and just go for it. This, I think, is the main challenge for any businessman. Believe in yourself and you’re halfway there.”
On his personal style
When it comes to his style of work, the CEO detailed: “I would say that I’m very passionate, and I love the job that I do. I work hard and I’m very dedicated.”

He says ‘no’ to time wasting
When asked what he doesn’t put up with in his personal and professional life, Khamid told us: “I say no to wasting time and wasting opportunities we might get.”
