Saiid Kobeisy looked to the glamour and refinement of the early twentieth century for his Autumn/Winter 2026 Couture collection, Passage Privé. Inspired by an era shaped by exceptional craftsmanship, artistic exchange and elegant travel, the collection reimagines couture as a journey of personal transformation, where every silhouette reflects a new stage of discovery.

“With Passage Privé, I wanted to capture the spirit of a remarkable era while exploring the idea that every journey transforms the way we see ourselves,” said Kobeisy. “Couture becomes a narrative of movement, discovery, and quiet elegance.”

The collection unfolds through a soft, sophisticated palette of ecru, off-white, pale pink, soft green, bronze and powder blue. Velvet takes centre stage, complemented by double satin, crepe georgette, metallic French lace, fur and feathers, creating a rich interplay of texture that evokes the romance and luxury of the period.

Architectural precision is balanced with fluid movement throughout. Passementerie embellishments trace the body with delicate elegance, while elevated trench coats evoke the era’s timeless tailoring. Flowing kimono sleeves introduce a sense of movement inspired by travel and cultural exchange, while linear Art Deco motifs pay homage to the bold geometry that defined the age. Pixelated embroideries offer a contemporary contrast, symbolising fragmented memories collected along life’s journey.

Fur and feathers add further depth, appearing not simply as decorative elements but as expressions of artisanal craftsmanship. Embellishment evolves throughout the collection, moving from understated restraint to intricate opulence, mirroring the emotional progression of a voyage.

The collection presents clothing as an immersive narrative where heritage and modernity coexist, and where every garment tells a story of movement, identity and transformation long after it leaves the runway.
